We are delighted to hold not one, not two, but THREE British quality Kitemark standards for the three core areas of the Britannia Squab Group business namely removals, storage and self-storage. Britannia Squab group now holds BS EN 12522 or Domestic removals; BS EN 14873 for Domestic Storage and BS EN 15696 for Self-Storage, which are standards recognized across Europe.
As the only removals company in Warwickshire to have been certified with all three BSI removals and storage standards, Britannia Squab Group sets the benchmark in becoming the most trusted, reliable and high quality removals and storage business in the area.
The standards are defined by very clear criteria for customers reassurance. For example, the BS EN 12522 Kitemark symbols pledges that staff will be punctual, courteous and honest in their dealings with customers; detailed written quotations will be provided, with terms of payments; suitable packaging materials, equipment and vehicles will be used, and assistance with compensation procedures will be given in the event of claims for loss or damage.
Similarly, BS EN 14873 and BS EN 15696 certification covers all aspects from management and procedures, to documentation and quality standards for storage.
“ It underlines our commitment to best practice and provide our customers with even greater assurance of the standards and integrity of our business. We are assessed on an annual basis by QSS Ltd the certified assessors for the British Standards Institute. WE recognize that delivering a consistently high quality service is imperative and have stringent measures in place to continually monitor and improve, where necessary, on our performance,” Says Emlyn Evans, Partner-Britannia Squab Group.

A brand new Volvo truck has joined Britannia Squab’s expanding fleet of removals vehicles. Low emission Zone compliant, it also has a new Euro 5 engine ensuring compliancy throughout Europe with the latest environmental standards for emissions. The versatile new truck also brings with it many benefits to both our drivers and our customers.
One key benefit is that the truck has full air suspension providing us with extra protection for our customers possessions. The additional benefit is that the body belonging to this truck can be swapped with another, which is useful for those customers requiring short term storage. After loading the truck in the normal way we are then able to exchange this body for a replacement one and leave your possessions in our secure yard. This approach means that we don’t need to double handle the goods and can accommodate and last minute problems with keys for the new property. The new truck runs in conjunction with a trailer allowing us to move the equivalent of a five bedroom property in one vehicle.
Always keen to look after our hard working drivers, they too have comfort in the spacious double Globetrotter sleeper cab with fridge and TV enabling them to b fit and rested ready for the removal tasks that lay ahead making it ideal for both domestic and European moves.
The new truck complements Britannia Squab’s range of existing drop body trucks providing the equivalent of three artics worth of furniture handling capacity.

Gazanging the New Phenomena

Gazanging is when sellers change their minds and drop out of the sale at the last minute, often due to market uncertainty or a lack of a suitable home to move to. The rise of gazanging is being fuelled by a shortage of housing, caused by falling transactions and the lowest number of new homes being built in England since the 1920s.
